Poem x Burn is a collaborative artist’s book by Ece Çeşme and Filiz Ersin, developed through twenty-one days of walking the Bostancı–Dalyan shoreline in Istanbul. Built around two parallel yet distinct perspectives—Poem by Çeşme and Burn by Ersin—the publication combines poetry, photography, and book design into a single reversible object that can be read from either direction. Sharing the same images while responding to them through different textual and visual languages, the artists construct a layered dialogue where neither interpretation dominates the other. Conceived as both a poetic experiment and an artist’s book, Poem x Burn explores walking as a method of observation, friendship as a mode of authorship, and publishing as a space where image, text, and design continuously reshape one another.
