Edited by Lorenzo Benedetti and Caroline Dumalin, the book opens with Benedetti’s essay on the symbolic and spatial tension between studios and exhibition spaces. Eight former WIELS artists-in-residence each contribute a self-designed 16-page “book space,” extending the exhibition’s dialogue into print and treating the book itself as an architectural, conceptual site.
