Label: Enigma Records, USA
Format: Vinyl, 2×12’’ LP, 33⅓ RPM (three sides of music + etched side)
Release Date: 1989
Edition: Original live double-LP with etched fourth side
Now It Can Be Told documents Devo’s live performance at The Palace in Hollywood on December 9, 1988, capturing the band deep into the *Total Devo* era with rewired versions of classics alongside newer material. Issued by Enigma, the double LP unfolds over three playable sides before giving way to a fourth side etched with playful marks and band signatures — a tactile reminder of Devo’s machine-like performative ethos. The set maps a live Devo world that is at once tight, absurd and insistently physical, grounding songs like “Jocko Homo,” “Whip It” and “Girl U Want” in theatrical, unvarnished energy.
