Snapshots, contact sheets, staged scenes and experiments collide in a fractured visual narrative where domestic life slips easily into theatre, hallucination and dark comedy. Northrup’s fascination with irony and the absurd transforms ordinary bodies, gestures and family rituals into something stranger and almost mythological, while his experiments with the Strobacolor process gradually flood the archive with unstable colour.
