Wooden Music II concludes the archival free-jazz vision of the Tomasz Stańko Quintet, recorded live at Jazzhouse in Hamburg on November 9, 1972 and unearthed by Astigmatic Records. Featuring trumpeter Stańko alongside violinist Zbigniew Seifert, Janusz Muniak, Bronisław Suchanek and Janusz Stefański, the set blurs improvisation with emerging composed forms, channeling the quintet’s restless interplay into expansive yet cohesive explorations. As the final installment of the *Wooden Music* series, the album crystallizes a fleeting period of collective invention and telepathic ensemble depth in early European avant-jazz.
