Rustling Shadow is Roelant Meijer’s small machine for wind, paper, and fleeting light. Made after his JOYA-AIR residency at Cortijada Los Gázquez in Andalucía, the booklet turns an empty sketchbook, moving plant shadows, and a warm Spanish afternoon into a book that must be activated by the reader’s own hands. You cannot fully open it; you flip through it, making the pages rustle and the shadows move again — a quiet meta-story where the book becomes both witness and weather.
