Z5NE is ZONE’s fifth collective photobook, assembled without a predetermined theme or narrative. Built through an open call, the publication gravitates toward raw, unpolished and open-ended photographic work—images that resist easy resolution while remaining anchored to lived reality. Rather than forcing the contributions into a concept, ZONE allows the book to reveal its own character through editing, sequence and collision: individual practices losing their borders as they enter a larger, unstable photographic organism. Less a survey than a collective creature, Z5NE continues ZONE’s ongoing experiment with what can happen when unrelated images are made to occupy the same space.
