Memory Research Office: Collect.Cut.Create.Re-Create – The Exhibition Book accompanies Borga Kantürk’s 2015 solo exhibition at Škuc Gallery in Ljubljana, developed through a long-term collaboration with curators Saša Nabergoj and Simona Žvanut. Conceived as more than an exhibition catalogue, the publication extends Kantürk’s ongoing investigation into memory, archives, collecting, censorship, and the politics of representation. Through installations, drawings, photographs, found materials, and textual fragments, the book examines how personal and collective histories are assembled, classified, erased, and reconstructed. Functioning as both documentation and an autonomous artist’s publication, it reflects Kantürk’s interdisciplinary practice, where archival research becomes a conceptual method for questioning the mechanisms through which memory is continuously produced and rewritten.
