Çocuk Dünyam / A Child’s World by Erdal Yazıcı gathers 50 colour photographs of children taken over nearly twenty years across Turkish-speaking regions, following the artist’s earlier black-and-white project Yarınımız Umudumuz Çocuklar. First shown in Istanbul in 2005 and later exhibited in several cities across Turkey, the book moves through streets, schools, villages, plateaus, workplaces, games, glances, laughter, and small wounds of daily life. A tender photographic field of childhood: fragile, luminous, stubbornly alive.
