Assembled from fragments of personal experience, quotations in German and English, sketches, drawings, and paintings made during McCarthy’s own en plein air mountain expeditions, the book stages the landscape as both witness and accomplice. It is the second part of a dilogy after Trickles & Oozes, and relates to the performance The Hills Have Crazy Eyes, premiered at Münchner Kammerspiele in May 2024.
