COMMENTARIVM has made available books, magazines, fanzines, prints, projects and audio recordings through the fields of contemporary art, cultural/theoretical critique, design, music, architecture, fashion and cinema from local and international publishers and artists. Situated conceptually between a project space and a store, publications and editions are available for browsing and for purchasing. Sales allow us to create a small profit, which is redirected back into the organization to order new books and research & develop future projects.

Due to the public interest expressed in this initiative and our desire to become more integrated in the cultural debate and production in both Turkey and abroad, our major concern now is to move forward with new propositions that extend beyond the original concept of a diffusion space for contemporary materials. In a variety of contexts and situations, COMMENTARIVM will be a tool for us to produce & develop projects in collaboration with artists, publish artists’ books & works and initiate temporal events all around the world.
