KILAVUZ is an expansive artist publication by the Atılkunst collective that reimagines standardized exam guides as conceptual material. Drawing from nationwide Turkish tests such as SBS, OKS, and OYS, the book compiles all requisite exams students must take to advance through the education system. What appears as a utilitarian guide becomes a critical record of institutionalized evaluation and social sorting. Produced by BAS, an artist-run nonprofit space in Istanbul founded by Banu Cennetoğlu and sustained by a broader collective, KILAVUZ situates bureaucratic forms and pedagogical tools within artistic practice. The work transforms everyday test preparation into a field of inquiry about measurement, opportunity, and the systemic pressures shaping learning and aspiration.
